The TAR 420 E is an excellent small hi-fi speaker. It is capable of considerable volume, and supplies a stable sound image which holds up very well in comparison with larger loudspeakers. The low-bass distortion filter gives it an excellent bass response, and also allows it to cope with surprisingly high levels. The small baffle, high-quality tweeter and long-throw bass driver produce an extraordinarily spacious and natural sonic image. This speaker’s predecessor was a clear winner in a Stereoplay comparative test. |
